Radar data indicate that the eyewall of Lala is located west of
South Point, Hawaii.
An observation at Kohala Ranch recently reported a sustained wind of
50 mph (80 km/h) and a gust of 77 mph (124 km/h).
Peak rainfall measurements over the last 12 hours are between 15 to
17 inches across windward Maui and the Big Island.
