- About 150 miles west of Houma LA or about 190 miles west of
Grand Isle LA
- 29.6N 93.2W
- Storm Intensity 45 mph
- Movement West or 275 degrees at 10 mph
SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------
Tropical Storm Bertha is tracking westward along the Louisiana coast
near Lake Charles, and will continue to move westward.
Coastal flooding has been observed at several observation stations along
the Louisiana coast west of the Mississippi River. Minor to moderate
coastal flooding upwards of 1 to 2 feet is expected during the high tide
cycle this morning.
Light rainfall is occurring with this storm over land areas though
localized brief heavy rainfall will be possible, mainly this morning
for coastal areas of Mississippi and southeast Louisiana. The threat
of excessive rainfall has decreased across all of southeast Louisiana
and south Mississippi.
All Tropical Storm Warnings have been been discontinued as well as
coastal flooding advisories and warnings east of the Mississippi River
including the tidal lakes.
POTENTIAL IMPACTS

Little to no impacts are anticipated at this time across Southeast
Louisiana and South Mississippi.
* SURGE:
Little to no additional surge impacts expected.
- Community officials are now assessing the extent of actual
surge impacts accordingly.
- Emergency response teams are attending to casualty situations
as needed.
- Emergency work crews are restoring essential community
infrastructure as necessary.

* FLOODING RAIN:
Little to no impacts are anticipated at this time across Southeast
Louisiana and South Mississippi.
* TORNADOES:
Little to no impacts are anticipated at this time across Southeast
Louisiana and South Mississippi.
