DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 1100 PM HST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Calvin was
located near latitude 12.4 North, longitude 116.0 West. Calvin is
moving toward the west near 15 mph (24 km/h), and a westward to 
west-northwestward motion is expected to continue during the next 
several days.
 
Maximum sustained winds are near 70 mph (110 km/h) with higher
gusts.  Strengthening is forecast during the next day or so, and 
Calvin is forecast to become a hurricane overnight.  Gradual 
weakening is forecast to begin by the weekend.  
 
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km)
from the center.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 995 mb (29.39 inches).
