There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.
 
 
DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 300 PM MDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Linda was
located near latitude 13.6 North, longitude 106.2 West.  Linda is
moving toward the west near 9 mph (15 km/h), and this motion is
expected to continue through tonight.  A turn toward the 
west-northwest is expected on Thursday, with that motion continuing 
through the weekend.
 
Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 70 mph (110 km/h) 
with higher gusts.  Additional strengthening is forecast, and Linda 
is expected to become a hurricane tonight.
 
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles (165 km)
from the center.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 995 mb (29.39 inches).
 
 
HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND
----------------------
SURF:  Swells generated by Linda are expected to affect portions of
the coast of southwestern Mexico over the next few days.  These
swells are likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip current
conditions. Please consult products from your local weather office.
