The core of the hurricane is moving nearly parallel to, but offshore of, the east coast of central Florida. A sustained wind of 74 mph (119 km/h) and a gust of 90 mph (144 km/h) were recently reported at NOAA Buoy 41010 located north of Dorian's eye. At New Smyrna Beach, Florida, a sustained wind of 39 mph (63 km/h) and a wind gust of 47 mph (76 km/h) were recently reported.
