DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Daniel
was located near latitude 19.4 North, longitude 118.1 West. The
depression is moving toward the northwest near 9 mph (15 km/h).  A
turn toward the west-northwest is expected tonight, followed by a
westward motion on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 35 mph (55 km/h) with
higher gusts.  Additional weakening is forecast, and Daniel is
expected to degenerate into a remnant low pressure area on Tuesday.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
