DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Orlene was
located near latitude 20.4 North, longitude 120.4 West. Orlene is
moving toward the west-northwest near 6 mph (9 km/h).  The tropical
storm should turn toward the west at a faster rate of forward speed
during the next two days.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 70 mph (110 km/h)
with higher gusts.  Some weakening is forecast during the next 48
hours.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles (165 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 991 mb (29.27 inches).
