DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 900 AM MDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Kay was
located near latitude 21.2 North, longitude 114.6 West. Kay is
moving toward the northwest near 7 mph (11 km/h), and this motion
should continue today. A turn toward the west-northwest is expected
on Monday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts.
Weakening is expected by Monday, and Kay is forecast to become a
remnant low on Tuesday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches).
