DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Estelle was
located near latitude 19.2 North, longitude 123.3 West.  Estelle is
moving toward the west near 13 mph (20 km/h), and this general
motion is forecast to continue today.  A motion toward the
west-northwest with some increase in forward speed is expected
tonight through Thursday.

Maximum sustained winds remain near 70 mph (110 km/h) with higher
gusts.  Gradual weakening is expected during the next 48 hours.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 150 miles (240 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 990 mb (29.24 inches).
