DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 300 PM MDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Four-E
was located near latitude 12.2 North, longitude 109.1 West. The
depression is moving toward the west near 8 mph (13 km/h) and this
motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Slow strengthening is forecast during the next couple of days, and
the depression could become a tropical storm on Thursday.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
