DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 1100 AM EDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Bonnie was located near latitude 35.9 North, longitude 72.0 West. The depression is moving toward the east near 12 mph (19 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue with an increase in forward speed during the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours. However, Bonnie is forecast to degenerate to a post-tropical low by Saturday. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
