SUMMARY OF 800 PM PDT...0300 UTC...INFORMATION ---------------------------------------------- LOCATION...23.4N 120.3W ABOUT 660 MI...1065 KM W OF THE SOUTHERN TIP OF BAJA CALIFORNIA MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...30 MPH...45 KM/H PRESENT MOVEMENT...NW OR 305 DEGREES AT 13 MPH...20 KM/H MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...1008 MB...29.77 INCHES WATCHES AND WARNINGS -------------------- There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect. DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Felicia was located near latitude 23.4 North, longitude 120.3 West. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h). A turn to the west-northwest with a decrease in forward speed is expected on Saturday. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 30 mph (45 km/h) with higher gusts. Continued weakening is forecast, and the remnant low is expected to dissipate in a few days. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb (29.77 inches).
