DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Enrique
was located near latitude 20.5 North, longitude 137.1 West.  The
depression is moving toward the west near 2 mph (4 km/h).  A turn
toward the southwest is expected during the next day or so, followed
by a slow and erratic motion.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 35 mph (55 km/h) with
higher gusts.  Additional weakening is forecast during the next 48
hours, and Enrique is expected to degenerate to a remnant area of
low pressure on Saturday.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
