DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 500 AM AST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Henri was
located near latitude 36.2 North, longitude 60.3 West. Henri is
moving toward the north near 16 mph (26 km/h).  A turn toward
the north-northeast with an increase in forward speed is expected
today, followed by a turn toward the northeast by Sunday with
some additional acceleration.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours.
However, Henri is forecast to become post-tropical on Saturday.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 140 miles (220 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb (29.77 inches).
