SUMMARY OF 1100 AM AST...1500 UTC...INFORMATION ----------------------------------------------- LOCATION...14.5N 49.0W ABOUT 825 MI...1325 KM E OF THE LESSER ANTILLES MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...30 MPH...45 KM/H PRESENT MOVEMENT...W OR 275 DEGREES AT 18 MPH...30 KM/H MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...1008 MB...29.77 INCHES WATCHES AND WARNINGS -------------------- There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect. DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ Satellite data indicate that Grace no longer has a closed circulation and is now an open wave. At 1100 AM AST (1500 UTC), the remnants of Grace were located near latitude 14.5 North, longitude 49.0 West. The remnants are moving toward the west near 18 mph (30 km/h) and this general motion is expected to continue over the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph (45 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is expected over the next day or two. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb (29.77 inches).
