DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK
------------------------------
At 500 AM AST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Grace was
located near latitude 14.1 North, longitude 41.0 West. Grace is
moving toward the west near 20 mph (31 km/h), and this general
motion is expected to continue over the next 48 hours.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Weakening is expected during the next 48 hours.  Grace is forecast
to weaken to a tropical depression later today, and become a remnant
low by Wednesday night. Grace could also degenerate to a tropical
wave during the next few days.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
