Danny.


DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK
------------------------------
At 500 AM AST (0900 UTC), the eye of Hurricane Danny was located
near latitude 13.7 North, longitude 47.4 West. Danny is moving
toward the west-northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h), and this general
motion is expected to continue during the next day or so.  A turn
toward the west is forecast by Saturday night.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 85 mph (140 km/h)
with higher gusts.  Some additional strengthening is possible today,
but Danny should begin to weaken on Saturday.

Danny is a tiny hurricane. Hurricane force winds extend outward up
to 10 miles (20 km) from the center and tropical storm force winds
extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km).

The estimated minimum central pressure is 987 mb (29.15 inches).
