Welcome to the NOAA Miami Regional Library at the National Hurricane Center, an official Branch of the NOAA Central Library.
It features more than 8500 cataloged items and nearly 7400 scientific journal issues and vertical files containing hundreds of hurricane related items, including newspaper clippings, reports, maps and photographs.
The in-house collection also includes CD ROMs, microfilm, and an online catalog containing the combined collections from all of NOAA's 30 libraries. The e-collection of resources provides nearly 275 e-journals and several hundred databases, most offering full-text materials to current and archival data.

The broader focus includes areas of atmospheric study such as hurricane mitigation, disaster awareness, and weather data from contributors world-wide.
The library's mission is to acquire, manage and ensure access and delivery of scientific and technical information to its users in a timely mannerr.
To ensure this mission, the library's doors are always open to NOAA employees. Reference services are welcomed to the public by phone and email Monday through Friday. Library visits are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays by appointment.
