For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:
1. A broad trough of low pressure is expected to develop south or
southwest of the coast of southern Mexico late this weekend or early
next week. Environmental conditions are expected to be favorable for
gradual development thereafter, and a tropical depression could form
by the middle of the week as the system moves west-northwestward
over the eastern Pacific.
