DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 1100 PM HST (0900 UTC), the center of Hurricane Calvin was
located near latitude 14.5 North, longitude 127.5 West. Calvin is
moving toward the west-northwest near 16 mph (26 km/h), and this 
general motion is expected to continue for the next several days.
 
Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 105 mph (165 km/h) 
with higher gusts.  Further weakening is expected through the 
middle part of next week.
 
Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 35 miles (55 km) from the
center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 125 miles
(205 km).
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 968 mb (28.59 inches).

SURF:  Swells generated by Calvin are expected to reach the Hawaiian
