DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 1000 AM CDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression
Twelve-E was located near latitude 13.4 North, longitude 101.5 West.
The depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 9 mph (15
km/h), and this motion is expected to continue through tonight.  A
slight westward turn is forecast on Wednesday, followed by a turn
back to the west-northwest late this week.
 
Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Strengthening is expected during the next several days, and the
depression is forecast to become a tropical storm by tonight and a
hurricane on Thursday.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb (29.77 inches).
