For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180W:

Active Systems:
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Storm Norbert, located well west-southwest of the southern tip of
the Baja California Peninsula.

Central and Western East Pacific (EP97):
Showers and thunderstorms continue to become better organized in
association with a broad area of low pressure located several
hundred miles southwest of the southwestern coast of Mexico. Gradual
development of this system is likely, and a tropical depression is
expected to form during the next day or two while it moves generally
west-northwestward to westward over the central and western portions
of the eastern Pacific basin.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...high...70 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...high...90 percent.

Well Southeast of the Hawaiian Islands:
A broad trough of low pressure located several hundred miles
southeast of the Hawaiian Islands is producing disorganized showers
and thunderstorms. Gradual development of this system is possible
during the next few days while it moves generally northward and then
meanders.
