For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on recently
upgraded Tropical Storm Pilar, located near the southwest coast of
Mexico.

1. A broad area of low pressure continues to produce disorganized
shower and thunderstorms over the far eastern Pacific. Some gradual
development of this system is possible before the system moves
inland over Central America in a few days.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...40 percent.
