For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. A tropical wave is producing an area of disorganized cloudiness and 
showers a few hundred miles south-southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico. 
Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for some 
development of this disturbance during the next several days, and a 
tropical depression could form by the weekend while the system moves 
slowly west-northwestward well offshore of the coast of mainland 
Mexico.
