For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. A broad trough of low pressure is forecast to develop southwest 
of the coast of southern Mexico during the next couple of days. 
Environmental conditions are expected to be favorable for 
gradual development thereafter, and a tropical depression is likely 
to form by the middle of next week as the system moves westward to 
west-northwestward over the eastern Pacific.
