For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical 
Storm Douglas, located a little over 1200 miles southwest of the 
southern tip of the Baja California peninsula.

1. An area of low pressure is forecast to form well south of the 
southern coast of Mexico and portions of Central America later this 
week.  Gradual development of this system will be possible late 
this weekend while it moves generally west-northwestward.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.
