For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. A broad low pressure system is producing a large area of
disorganized showers and thunderstorms from the Baja California
peninsula southwestward over the eastern Pacific for several hundred
miles.  Although this system is not expected to become a tropical
cyclone, it will likely produce heavy rains and strong winds over
portions of the Baja California peninsula, the Gulf of California,
and northwestern Mexico during the next day or two.  This rainfall
could cause life-threatening flash floods and mudslides. For
