For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. An area of low pressure is expected to form in a couple of
days several hundred miles south of the southern tip of the Baja
California peninsula.  Some gradual development of this disturbance
is possible late this week before upper-level winds increase over
the weekend.  This system is expected to move generally northward
during the next several days.

* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.
