For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Storm Sergio, located several hundred miles west-southwest of the
southern tip of the Baja California peninsula.

1. A large area of disturbed weather has formed near the Gulf of
Tehuantepec extending southwestward for a few hundred miles across
the eastern Pacific Ocean.  Environmental conditions could support
some slow development of the system over the next several days, if
the disturbance stays offshore of Mexico, while it moves slowly
westward.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent.
