For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane
Olivia, located several hundred miles west-southwest of the southern
tip of the Baja California peninsula.

1. A large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms has formed
several hundred miles south of the southwestern coast of Mexico.
Environmental conditions are forecast to become conducive for
gradual development of this system later this week while the
disturbance moves slowly west-northwestward or northwestward.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.
