For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. An area of disturbed weather is located just west of the coasts of
Costa Rica and Nicaragua.  Environmental conditions are forecast to
be generally conducive for development, and a tropical depression
could form during the next couple of days as the system moves
west-northwestward to northwestward near the coast of Central
America.  Regardless of development, locally heavy rains are likely
over portions of Central America through Friday.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent.
