For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. A broad and elongated area of low pressure located about 1000 miles
southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula
continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms. While
some gradual development is possible, environmental conditions
are expected to become less favorable during the next few days while
this system moves slowly northeastward or northward.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...40 percent

2. The remnants of Marty, located about 100 miles southwest of
Mazatlan, Mexico, are producing a large area of showers and
