TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Storm Kevin, located a few hundred miles west-southwest of the
southern tip of the Baja California peninsula.

1. Satellite data indicate that a low pressure area located about 575
miles south of Manzanillo, Mexico, has become better defined since
yesterday.  Shower and thunderstorm activity associated with this
system is also gradually becoming better organized.  Environmental
conditions are conducive for development, and a tropical depression
is likely to form during the next few days while the low moves
generally northwestward.
