For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. Shower and thunderstorm activity associated with a tropical wave
located about 1200 miles southwest of the southern tip of the Baja
California peninsula remains limited.  Environmental conditions
appear conducive for some gradual development of this system
during the next several days while it moves westward at about
10 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent

2. A low pressure area is expected to form well south of the coast of
Mexico early next week.  Environmental conditions should support
gradual development of the system while it moves west-northwestward
at 10 to 15 mph.
