TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. Showers and thunderstorms associated with a broad area of low
pressure located about 550 miles south-southwest of the southern tip
of the Baja California peninsula have become a little better
organized over the past 24 hours.  Upper-level winds that have been
inhibiting development are forecast to decrease and become more
conducive for tropical cyclone formation during the next day or two.
This system is expected to become a tropical depression during
that time as it moves west-northwestward to northwestward at about
10 mph.
