For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane
Blanca, located a couple of hundred miles south-southwest of Cabo
San Lucas, Mexico.

1. A large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms located
several hundred miles south of the Gulf of Tehuantepec is associated
with a trough of low pressure.  Environmental conditions are
forecast to become conducive for some development of this system by
midweek while it moves generally northwestward at a slow forward
speed.

* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent
