TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Storm Vance, located several hundred miles south of Manzanillo,
Mexico.

1. An area of low pressure located about 1300 miles southwest of the
southern tip of the Baja California peninsula is producing a few
showers and thunderstorms.  Increasing upper-level winds and dry
air are expected to inhibit significant development of this system
while it moves westward to west-southwestward at 5 to 10 mph during
the next few days.

* Formation chance through 5 days...low...10 percent.
