TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
1100 AM PDT SAT OCT 11 2014

For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. Disorganized cloudiness and a few showers, associated with an
elongated trough of low pressure, extend from near the coast of
Nicaragua to a few hundred miles south-southwest of the Gulf of
Tehuantepec. This system is expected to remain relatively close to
Central America and southeastern Mexico during the next several
days, and its proximity to land should make significant development
less likely.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...10 percent.

2. Shower and thunderstorm activity has become slightly better
organized in association with a trough of low pressure located about
1500 miles east-southeast of the Hawaiian Islands. Environmental
conditions are conducive for continued gradual development of this
system during the next several days while it moves westward or
west-northwestward at around 15 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...40 percent.
