TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 500 PM PDT TUE OCT 7 2014 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on recently downgraded Tropical Depression Simon, located just west of Punta Eugenia, Mexico. 1. A broad area of low pressure over the southwestern Caribbean Sea is expected to move slowly westward across Central America and over the far eastern Pacific during the next couple of days. Gradual development of this system is possible south or southwest of the coast of Central America late this week or this weekend while it moves slowly west-northwestward or northwestward. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...30 percent.
