For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Storm Odile, located about 200 miles south-southwest of Lazaro
Cardenas, Mexico, and on newly developed Tropical Depression
Sixteen-E, located about about 800 miles southwest of the southern
tip of the Baja California peninsula.

1. The broad trough of low pressure located about 1300 miles southwest
of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula has become less
organized over the past 24 hours, and development is no longer
expected at this time.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...near 0 percent.

2. An area of low pressure is expected to form south of the coasts of
Guatemala and El Salvador by late in the weekend. Conditions appear
favorable for some development of this system by early next week
while it moves slowly west-northwestward.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...40 percent.

WMO header WTPZ31 KNHC and under AWIPS header MIATCPEP1.
