For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

1. A broad area of low pressure associated with a tropical wave
continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms, mainly
over southern Mexico and the Bay of Campeche. Some development of
this system is possible during the next couple of days while it
moves generally northwestward and then northward over the western
Gulf of Mexico. The system is then forecast to merge with a cold
front over the weekend.

* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.
