000 ABPZ20 KNHC 122328 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 PM PDT Sat Aug 12 2023 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: Active Systems: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Depression Seven-E, located several hundred miles south-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. Western East Pacific (EP99): A broad area of low pressure associated with a tropical wave is producing a large area of disorganized showers well to the east-southeast of the Hawaiian Islands. Conditions appear conducive for development of this system, and a tropical depression is likely to form during the next few days while moving toward the west or west-northwest at about 10 mph across the far western portion of the basin, crossing into the Central Pacific basin Sunday night. * Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...60 percent. * Formation chance through 7 days...high...80 percent. Off the Coast of Southern Mexico: A tropical wave over Central America and the far eastern Pacific is producing a large area of disturbed weather.
