This activity remains disorganized, but environmental conditions still appear generally favorable for gradual development of this broad system. A tropical depression is likely to form during the middle part of this week as the system moves generally west-northwestward, parallel to the southwestern coast of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent. * Formation chance through 7 days...high...80 percent. South of Southern Mexico: An area of low pressure is expected to form over the next day or so several hundred miles south of El Salvador, Guatemala, and southern Mexico.
