For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane 
Genevieve, located about 45 miles south-southwest of the 
southern tip of the Baja California peninsula.

An area of low pressure is expected to form later this week and 
over the weekend several hundred miles southwest of the southwestern 
coast of Mexico.  Conditions appear favorable for some slow 
development of this system, and a tropical depression could form 
by mid next week while it moves little.
