Although there are no signs of a surface circulation at this time, environmental conditions are forecast to become more conducive for development during the next few days, and a tropical depression could form early next week. The disturbance is expected to move westward to west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent. An area of low pressure is expected to form a few hundred miles south of the coast of southern Mexico early next week.
