For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane
Barbara, located more than 1000 miles southwest of the southern tip
of the Baja California peninsula.

An area of low pressure is expected to form later this week several
hundred miles southwest of the southern coast of Mexico.
Environmental conditions are expected to be favorable for the
development of a tropical depression over the weekend while the
system moves westward to west-northwestward at about 15 mph.
