Showers and thunderstorms associated with an area of low pressure located about 550 miles south-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula have changed little in organization overnight. However, environmental conditions are still conducive for development, and a tropical depression is expected to form later today or on Wednesday while the system moves west-northwestward at about 10 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high...90 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent. Another area of low pressure is forecast to form well southwest of the coast of southwestern Mexico in a few days.
