For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane
Vance, located several hundred miles southwest of Manzanillo,
Mexico.

Showers and thunderstorms associated with an area of low pressure
located about 1350 miles southwest of the southern tip of the Baja
California peninsula have changed little during the past several
hours.  This activity remains disorganized, and strong upper-level
winds and dry air are expected to inhibit significant development of
this system while it moves westward to west-southwestward at 5 to 10
mph during the next few days.
