Environmental conditions are conducive for the gradual development of this system into a tropical depression over the next couple of days as it moves northwestward or northward toward the coast of Mexico. Regardless of whether or not a tropical cyclone forms, heavy rains will spread across southwestern Mexico over the next few days.
