For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Storm Rachel, located several hundred miles southwest of the
southern tip of the Baja California peninsula.

An area of low pressure is expected to form south of the coast of
southeastern Mexico over the weekend or early next week.
Environmental conditions appear as though they will be conducive for
gradual development of the low while it moves slowly
west-northwestward.
